      There are many ways to get free advertising and I’ll will show you some of the best kinds…

      But the more important – and profitable – question is, does your advertising (free or paid) provide prospects and sales? And since 95% of all travel is researched online, you need to make sure that your website is your #1 tool to convince people to want to contact you.

      I went to your website and can see it lacks most of the important elements
      that convinces travel shoppers to contact you and ultimately use your tour services… SO even if you had lots of free advertising, or spent lots of time and money on search engine optimization, you are probably missing out on 90% of the possible leads and sales

      1 Super Important Travel Website Marketing Tip

      You don’t need to be convincing people to come to Ethiopia, you need to be convincing them to consider your specific tour services – and you have less then 10 seconds to do it.

      If you where going to buy a car, used or new, you would not need to be convinced of the value of motorized transportation would you? No.

      Now it’s a matter of the reputation of the car, what others have said about this brand and model, mechanical and physical condition and history, pricing, utility, etc. Right?

      Chances are if a prospect is at your website, they are already considering a visit Ethiopia. Now they need to decide who is going to book a tour with. They want to make sure they are traveling with a tour operator who is experienced, fun and safe. Right?

      Travel shoppers visiting your website – before they can decide to contact you or even book a trip – are quickly looking for information about why they should consider you.

      You have less then 10 seconds to communicate this in your tourism website:
      Reputation
      Quality
      Services
      Safety
      Where specifically you go
      What you offer (level of services, amenities, price points)

      Not sure if this is true? Check your website visitor logs and see how fast the majority of visitors leave in 10 seconds or less. This is called your “Bounce Rate”
      Unfortunately many, many travel websites have a bounce rate of 70% – or higher. So no matter how much free or paid advertising you have, it is all a waste…

      And if you are trying to convince travel agents or inbound tour operators to work with you, what I am sharing is 500% even MORE IMPORTANT.

      I visited your website and you have a problem. I can’t tell quickly where you hotel is located or why I should consider staying there?

      You also lack any social media sharing buttons for visitors to share your content and links. Social sharing and recognition ( Facebook Likes, Comments, sharing, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest) is now SUPER important not only to establish trust which helps sales conversions, but now this helps your Google Search Engine Ranking too.

      Also don’t forget tripadvisor and other online review sites. They will become the “Google” recommendation search engine of the future. You cannot afford to miss this…

      Your website also needs your page titles and brief descriptions updated and more complete to get indexed properly.

      If you want to book more hotel rooms, but as much effort into your online marketing as you do with the hotel decorating ( it looks great) and you will be “Sold Out” more often.

      I highly recommend that before you spend

        ANY money

      on advertising to generate leads and sales, you need to create more credibility and trust on your website. This is what converts travel shoppers into buyers. This way when you get a visitor they are more likely to email or call.

      Sri Lanka may be a safer destination, but what a travel shopper really wants to know is, why are you and your company a safe, quality and experienced operator? Why should they give your the booking and not one of your many competitors?

      One of the best investments you could make in your Sri Lank holiday website is to improve it into a “Travel Website That Sells”

      Do this before you spend any money on advertising. That way you will have a better ROI ( return on Investment) on any travel advertising.
